Replacing soybean meal with micronized soybeans in starter piglet diets and their residual effects during growing and finishing phases

نویسندگان

چکیده

Aim of study: To assess the effects replacing soybean meal (SBM) with micronized (MS) on digestibility (Experiment I) and performance II) piglets in starter phase its residual growing/finishing phases carcass meat quality traits
 Area São Paulo, Brazil.
Materials methods: The treatments consisted different levels dietary replacement SBM MS at intervals 25%, totaling five inclusions (0%, 50%, 75%, 100%).
Main results: In Exp. I, administration pre-starter I diet resulted a positive linear effect (p<0.05) apparent coefficient (ADC) crude protein quadratic (p<0.01) ADCs dry matter fat. For II diet, there was fat (p<0.05). negative ADC observed (p<0.01). II, feed intake weight gain decreased linearly throughout (p<0.01), while no significant difference (p>0.05) conversion increasing inclusion level MS.
Research highlights: Replacing did not influence during growing finishing phases. Meat affected but lower retail cut were animals fed higher MS.

Environmental impact of replacing soybean meal with rapeseed meal in diets of finishing pigs.

The major impact of the livestock sector on the environment may be reduced by feeding agricultural co-products to animals. Since the last decade, co-products from biodiesel production, such as rapeseed meal (RSM), became increasingly available in Europe. Consequently, an increase in RSM content in livestock diets was observed at the expense of soybean meal (SBM) content. Cultivation of SBM is a...

Limiting Amino Acids in Low-protein Corn-soybean Meal Diets for Growing-finishing Swine 1 ,2

Experiments were conducted with growing and finishing swine to evaluate the effectiveness of various amino acid additions to low-protein corn-soybean meal diets. Two feeding experiments were conducted with growing swine each including a 16% protein positive control diet. In the first, a 14% protein diet served as the negative control while in the second trial it was a 12% protein diet. Amino ac...

Effects of replacing soybean meal with canola meal and decreasing ‎crude ‎protein ‎on milk production and nutrient utilization of dairy cows in early lactation

This study investigated the effects of replacing soybean meal (SM) with canola meal (CM) and decreasing crude protein (‎CP) levels in CM based diets on performance of dairy cows when different sources of processed grains and CM were used. Canola meal was untreated or roasted at 130°C for 30 minutes and grains sources (corn and barley) were either ground or steamed-flaked. Eight Holstein cows (‎...
